The Meaning Of Life

What is the meaning of life?  Have you ever pondered that question before?  I’m sure you as well as many others has.

While I don’t know everything, I can share what I believe is the meaning of life.  Now, this may not be the meaning of life for everyone, but can suffice for some.  If you have a different opinion on the meaning of life, I welcome your comments below.

The true meaning of life can be summed up by one thing…….Growth.  It’s the one thing we’ve done sense we were conceived at birth.  We start off as an Embryo and grow into a Fetus, etc, etc.  Drawing from this perspective it’s easy to see how one might draw a conclusion that we have only one purpose and that’s to grow.

But humans stop growing when they reach maturity right?  Not exactly.  See, people may physically stop growing, but what about their brains?  What about our mental capabilities?

Sure, some people seem to never grow up and always look like the childish adult who doesn’t know when to be serious.  I’m sure you know at least one person like that.

Some people end up going to college and become Philosophers, Astronomers, Physicist, Scientist, Doctors, and even Historians.  Others choose to take the other route and let their creativity flow, these people become our artist: Painters, Musicians, Sculptures, Engineers, and Fashion Designers.

What does this do for us?  It gives room for growth.  It allows our minds to open and expand inward.  Without growth, we wouldn’t be who we are today.  Without growth, mankind would not be what it has become today.

Through growth, we can strive to be a better person.  Through growth, we can make changes, starting from within.  Through growth, inspiration lives.

Many people are without jobs right now, myself included, but that’s not keeping me from trying to learn and grow.  That’s not stopping me from building my dream.  That’s not stopping me from creating my own reality.

Go for the gold.  Grow, Learn, Inspire.

What Can You Learn From Watching Tech Shows?

Everyone has a favorite tech show on Youtube that they love to watch.  Ok, just about everyone.  With techies ranging from SoldierKnowsBest to Chris Pirillo, there’s a wide selection to choose from.

There’s always something you can learn via these type of shows and who doesn’t love to learn?  Everyone has a subject they love and a subject they hate.  Most even have favorite tech they enjoy.

Chris Pirillo puts on a wild, fun show on his Youtube channel called TLDR (The Lockergnome Daily Report.)  Lockergnome is his Youtube channel which is filled with Tech no how and fun stuff, including giveaways.

Why is learning important for us to grow?  Well, simply put, without learning, there’d be no growth.  Growth is what makes us stronger and more passionate about the things we do.  Growth molds us into the people we are today.

Chris also has some important hints in his broadcast such as: be yourself no matter what.  Something that he proudly displays.  Being ourselves and allowing ourselves to grow can be complex, but doesn’t have to be.  It’s all in how you present yourself.

If you’re looking at building a community, take a few lessons from Pirillo.  He’ll guide you in the right direction.

It’s easy to see what can be gained here.  Knowledge on the latest tech, what’s hot, what’s not, recommendations, and who knows what else.  Storm Trooper costumes?  There’s no telling what’ll happen in some of these tech shows.  Pirillo is no different.  In fact, I’d go as far as saying Pirillo is the exception.

Star Wars Geeks Unite.  Being a self proclaimed Geek used to be something to be made fun of for.  Nowadays, Geeks fix your computers when things go bad.   They keep the world running, even if they do work for the Empire.

With the world of techies coming and going, some are here to stay.  Having been in the business for a long time, I forget when, Pirillo is certainly one to go to.  May the learning stay alive.

What are some of your favorite Techies?  Anyone that we should know about that is on the rise?

A Little Hard Work Never Hurt Anyone

We’ve all heard that little Pun, “A little hard work never hurt anyone.”  Yeah, but I bet those people who made that statement, didn’t know anything about the world that we know now.

We should work and enjoy that work.  We should work hard but not over do it.  Over doing it creates injury.  Much like I have now.

Some of you know this, some of you don’t, but I have a Hernia.  Doesn’t hurt,so I’m not really worried about it.  I’ve also used it as an excuse to become lazy.  No more.

Working hard feels great, many fitness trainers can attest to that.  What doesn’t feel good, is working yourself so much that you’re exhausted at the end of the day.  You know what I mean.  Working 10-12 hour days, come home, then all you want to do is eat and slep.

If you workout too hard, you could end up getting a Hernia, or even a herniated disk in the spine.  What about knee injury?  What about hip injuries?

Even just plain hard work can cause injuries when you’re not careful.  Depends on how fit you are and how active you are.  This is why it’s important to work your way up at a pace you can handle.

How does this correlate to lessons in life?  When we’re trying to become successful, people often work long hours, even swing shits, this puts unnecessary strain on the body.  Take a break, take a step back.  Let your body rest, or at least build up your endurance for such task.

Working harder, for longer hours, isn’t always better.  That’s not getting you ahead.  In fact, it may even be pushing you back, taking years off your life.  There is a great quote……

“Work smarter, not harder.”  Take that to heart.

Silly puns.  Don’t even get me started on “The Lord Is My Shepherd.”

What are some of the puns that you’ve noticed are silly?  What are your favorites?  Some of them are actually funny jokes.  Go ahead, make us laugh.

Do It For You

I was having a chat with someone recently about doing things in life and changing it up.  It was brought to my attention that they were making excuses for themselves.  What excuse?  They didn’t want to get fit or healthy because they didn’t think their husband deserved it.

I know what you’re thinking.  Really?  Yes, really.  All too often we make excuses that we’re not even aware of.  Sometimes we’re aware of them, but most of the time we’ve told ourselves that often enough, that we’re not aware of them.

Why is this an issue?  Why wouldn’t it be?  We’re on this planet for one thing and one thing only.  Ok, maybe a few things.  For example: we’re here to be healthy, learn and grow, and experience all that we can.  So, why is it that we’re holding ourselves back?

I think that a large part if it is negativity.  Negativity is what holds us back.  Even if we have plans, (big plans) we’ll could still have some negative thought holding us back.  As Randy Gage puts it, you have to get rid of the negative thoughts and replace them with good thoughts.  Only when the Positive outweighs the negative, can we then move forward.

Randy Gage on Youtube.  Highly recommended.

One thing we have to realize, is that we’re hear for ourselves.  No one else.  We don’t have to please anyone.  If we want to be healthy, it should be for our own reasons.  To live longer, live happier, regardless if someone deserves it or not.  We deserve it for ourselves.

Before you go bashing yourself with negativity, remember this, “It’s for me, no one else.”  What are some other excuses that you’ve caught yourself giving?  What are some tips that people can use to become positive thinkers?

My Plans For Change

Ever notice how people change? Some people change trying to be like other people. Others change for a need more or less. Then there are those who are forced to change.
I Choose to change because right now, my life is in Chaos. It’s Hecktic. There is nothing worse than being 30 years old and having done nothing with your life. So, here’s what I’m going to start doing to make it better.

Sense I’m avid about losing weight and even possibly running a marathon, I need to get out there and start hangin with people that already do that. So, that’s what I’m going to do. If you want to be successful, you’ve got to hang out around successful people. If you want to be Fit, you’ve got to hang out around Fit people.

Why is this important? Influence. People in our lives influence us everyday. If you hang out with Smart people, guess what, you’re going to have the urge to become smarter, and hopefully do just that. Heaven forbid the general population get any dumber.

Some people have family who are just lazy, obese, can’t get off their butts for nothing. What do you do about that? Well, for starters, instead of hanging out with the people just like you at school or work. Start making new friends. Have that desire to make changes in your life. Your new friends will respect you for that and probably will even help you.

Networking. I’m going to start Networking a heck of a lot more. People that you talk to and connect with, that’s what it’s about nowadays. If you have connections, you’ll go far. If you have connections, you can get yourself out there, become known.

Sense Changes are inevitable, why not start making your own changes now? No excuses. So, my question for you today is this.

What kind of changes are you going to start making in your life? Start today. Otherwise, you’ll end up like me, 30 years old, (or older) and not getting anywhere in life. It’s never too late to start now. Join me in this #OccupyThisChange movement.

Changing It Up

What is with companies and changing things on a consistent basis?  Ever noticed that?  That’s the reason why MySpace failed.  That’s the reason why Facebook will fail if they aren’t careful.

But is change really good for us?  Sometimes, people do actually change, many times for the better, but some times for the worse.  We have to learn to make changes in our lives that are positive and not negative.

First off, what are positive changes?   Positive Changes are changes that make us a better person.  That make us stronger.  Even if at first they seem negative.  One might experience a majestic view that allows us to be inspired.  That’s a good change.

What about a negative change?  Negative Changes are those that change us for the worse.  It could be a change that sends us into shock, then into anger.  It could be a change that happens within and causes us to have a sickness.  Which can be both bad or good changes.

But how can we control changes in our lives?  I’ll admit, you won’t be able to physically change everything that happens in your life, but you can change a lot of things.  For example, if you’re on the road to gaining wait, change it.  Make it a positive change for the better.

But how?  Ok, I’m getting there.  Ever heard the quote, “Change first happens within.?”  That’s where you have to start.  Within.  Here’s what I mean by that.

In order to change us, we have to first change our subconscious.  Our subconscious, is what controls every little thing in our lives.  Our subconscious, is what determines if we fail or not.  If we can reprogram our subconscious, nothing will hold us back.

One way to reprogram your subconscious, is to stop thinking negative thoughts.  Quit blaming outside things for your problems.  For example, don’t blame the economy for you having no job.  This is something that I recently struggled with.  Instead, tell yourself that it is possible, and you can make money, even in a bad economy.

My plan is to travel all over Europe and share my experiences with others.  One way I’m doing that, is through Facebook.  Live the life you want.  In order to do that, you must change your current life.  Now, get to it.

What are some other ways that you can use to help make positive changes in your life?

Why Do Writers Write?

There are various reasons on why Writers do what they do.  Can you think of a few?  A popular reason to Write/Blog is to learn.

Learn about what?  Again, there are various things to learn about.  One of the main reasons I write is to learn about myself and to share my experiences with others.

What is the real reason we write though?  Could it be something else entirely?  What about Inspiration?

I’m not talking about getting inspiration for your own gain.  I’m talking about inspiring others to do something different.  Maybe you inspire others to write on their own blogs more often?

Looking from the outside in, readers will most likely say that Writers write to entertain.  While that may be true to an extent, there is more than one way to look at it.  Inspiration is one of the greatest gifts of Humanity.

It doesn’t matter whether or not you are Religious or not, it’s still a gift.  We’re here to inspire others to do better, to get things done, to acknowledge who they are.

The fact that Inspiration is a big part of today’s life, we can’t really live without it.  We’re inspired by others to do certain things, Run, Write, Read, Stay Healthy, all sorts of things.  It’s become such a huge part of our life, that you can’t deny the fact this is the main reason we write.

The comments we receive, the ones telling us that we’ve inspired someone to write, or the ones telling us that our articles are better than their, can be somewhat encouraging.  Thus, in turn, people inspire us to write even more.  Inspiration is here to stay.

I do believe that we as writers should inspire, especially when people come to us and tell us that our articles are way better than theirs.  Give back to your readers through inspiration and they’ll keep coming back to you.

What are some reasons your like to write, other than inspiration?

That’s Enough Sun

Woke up early this morning to head out to the acre we have to work and plant some Sugarcane.  Working several hours during the day is more than enough outside activity for me.

I’ve gotten enough Sun today that it could last me all week.  Ok, maybe not, but I worked hard today.  Dug one entire 50ft strip without stopping.  It was as deep as the shovel tip, so I had to really work at it.

Shoveling is a great back work out.  If you’re out of shape, try shoveling for about 20-30 minutes.  You’ll start to feel it.

My Uncle brought us lunch out there, Fried Chicken, yum.  Popeyes has the best Chicken, in my opinion.  KFC, just isn’t good anymore and they’re expensive.

Needless to say, we got three rows of Sugarcane planted.  This batch is aChewing variety.  The next batch we’ll be planting is a Syrup variety.

Something I found out is, Rum is made with Sugarcane, so I just might experiment with that for home use.

Seems like I’ve gotten enough exercise regardless today.  Feeling pretty tired right now.  Might be heading to bed early tonight.

Some people don’t get enough Sun, I’m actually one of them.  That’ll be one thing I’ll be working on in the next few months.

Drowsy Sugarcane

Is it just me, or is there something about Sugarcane that makes you drowsy?  Today is my 30th Birthday.  I spent the most of yesterday and today traveling and learning about Sugarcane.

What was the topic?  Weed control, of all things.  The ironic thing?  Sugarcane is actually a very tall grass, and the most common form of weed control when it comes to Sugarcane?  Grass.  Why is this ironic?

Supposedly, the absolute best way to manage weeds in your Sugarcane patch is, get this, digging it out by hand.  Gasp.  There are other options of course, but seriously?  I could have told you that.  And I’m not a Gardener.

So, how was my weekend?  For starters, I had a headache yesterday.  I think it was Sinus Congestion related, so we picked up some cold medicine.  Why?  Cold medicine is good for relieving congestion.  Now, if only that would work on traffic congestion?

Needless to say, the cold medicine didn’t work, so I had a headache most of the day and had to sleep it off.  Next time, I’m getting the Allergy/Sinus pills and taking some headache pills.

I thought about taking my camera, but there wasn’t really much to take pictures of.  Nothing worth while anyway.  There was one building that would have been worth the effort, but alas, no camera.

So, between driving to the Sugarcane, loading it up, and driving back from the Sugarcane, it’s been a pretty taxing trip.  Enjoyable, despite the headache, but taxing.  I was really tired last night, not sure I even slept.  Not doing much today has made it another tiring day.

I did however learn about something that I’m going to do a bit more research on.  A religion called Santeria, that actually still practices animal sacrifices today.  They do mention though, that 99% of the animals they sacrifice, end up eaten.  The other thing that I learned about?  Tiger Lizards.  Those things are ferocious and strong for their size.  Both worth looking into.

Being my birthday, we stopped at Outback Steakhouse on the way home.  I had the No Rules Parmesan pasta with Grilled Shrimp and Scallops.  It was pretty good, especially the shrimp.

It’s great to be back home though.  Let’s see how tonight’s sleep goes.  That was my weekend in a nutshell.  How was yours?

Birthdays – Blah Blah Blah

Ok, maybe not Blah Blah Blah, but Birthdays can be interesting.  Most of the time.  Coming up here in a few days, will be my Birthday.  November 7th to be exact, yep I’m a Scorpio.

So, what’s the big deal?  Looks like I’ll be out of town for two days.  The 6th and the 7th for both days.  We’re heading south to apparently learn about and collect some Sugar Cane.

The University of Florida is holding a Seminar on Sugar Cane and we’ve registered.  It cost us $15 per person, plus we have to get a motel room.  So, it’ll be my Mother and Father, as well as myself.  I’m not sure who else we know is going to go.

Apparently they have several different types of Sugar Cane growing.  We’re allowed to cut down 15 different stalks of each variety that they have.  But, we have to bring our own Sugar Cane Knife.  Which we do have one.  And our own transportation to get to the field.

Just to be clear, that’s 15 stalks of each variety per person that comes.  Which could end up to being a decent amount of Sugar Cane.

What are we going to do with all this Sugar Cane?  Grow it of course.  Seeing as how the Seminar is meant to teach you all about Sugar Cane, the processes, and the growing aspect of it, it only makes sense to grow it.

We’ve already got a place picked out to grow it.  We just have to plow it.  “Which is always a fun task.”  If you’ve ever plowed a Garden, you know it’s hard work.

My only complaint?  Why does this dang Seminar have to be on “My Birthday.”  Sigh.  Oh well, looks like I’ll at least get to pick where we’re having dinner.
