Greedy Beggars – Poem

This poem is about the world leaders who are nothing more than Greedy Beggars, hence the title.  I hope you enjoy this poem, because this is one poem that I couldn’t help but write.  When a writers mind starts, it flows until time to quit.  Let me know what you think?

Greedy Beggars

The world is set in motion
Like the tides of the Ocean
It’s never enough to just be
That which is little ol’ me
Searching for the next best thing
Only because they want to be king
Plotting and making their own set of rules
While everyone else is treated like tools
Blindness will be their own down fall
And the world will be left for us all

#Poetry #Poet Sands of Time

This is a poem is for those who can’t read my QR Code Poetry.  Hope you enjoy it.

Sands of Time

At last the day is done
Yet the world still has none
They can’t seem to find
What’s real or in the mind
For now they sow the field
Nothing is what they yield
For truth is in the know
Only for those who seek the flow
To fight the sands of time
Is like stepping on a mine
Only when you look to thee
Will you truly be free

#Poem – Narrow Vision

Narrow Vision

My world seems unreal.
Like it’s clouded in a veil.
Never knowing what’s around.
Moving so fast, until I hit the ground.
Turning to see what I fell upon.
My world now seems to be gone.
For there is nothing but my own two feet.
Clearly I’ve been beat.
Not by the world itself.
I just couldn’t see, what was on my own shelf.

Back to Nature

Back to Nature

The world is not dull, for it sets the trend.
Oh, the message it is trying to send.
Storms rage as the Earth shakes the foundation.
Unwary passengers are at the station.
Unknowing of the events to come.
Or from whence they are from.

The stage is set for now.
Soon, the Earth will take a bow.
For even we do not listen.
Now we believe we have risen.

Shall we not walk away.
Live and learn in a new way.
Build the love and live in harmony.
For once, stop thinking about the money.
One day, we’ll wake up and see.
This is truly, what we wanted to be.

Why?

Why?

Why are we here?
It’s a question I’ve often pondered.
Many wonder if life has meaning at all.
No one’s ever came back to tell us otherwise.

Often we never get anywhere.
Many times too late, we’re already there.
Perhaps we have everything right here, or not.
Will we ever even know?

Life is truly a journey.
Why then does it feel as though I’m caged?
That I’m running in cirlces, going no where fast.
I see in others, what I see in myself.

Why then, do I not see this flower?
Even though, it’s right under my nose.
Struggling to reach the top, just to get a bit of light.
Only to fade away when winters frost comes.

Then I realize, that the meaning of life has always been here.
Right under my nose, just waiting to be seen.
To live, to grow, to die, to be reborn again.
Is it that simple?

Why did this not click before?
Just like the flower, growth takes time.
Time that there isn’t much of.
That is why we’re reborn again.
Until we learn what we need.

Twisted Souls

Twisted Souls

The world twist and turns.
Thus my soul surely burns.
Life leaves, yet is still there.
Nothing is ever really fair.
To hear the cries of a million strong.
No, it’s not something I did wrong.
They lash out at me.
When all I want is to be free.

The Fallen

The Fallen

Now I see with my own eyes.
Tears of the fallen, are many of cries.
Though sorrow they do feel.
Like the skin, it does peel.
Wine and moan, as they cover their face.
Struggling to climb back grace.
No one sees them, for they are shamed.
Their wild spirits, can not be tamed.

One Love

One Love

A good love is certainly hard to find.
Most however, are really blind.
Only time will tell they say.
Yet some never enter the fray.
Just another story in the book.
Yet, we can’t help but look.
That one to be there for us.
So we don’t have to make a fuss.
A million fish in the sea.
Just one is all I need to see.

So Blue – Poem

So Blue

The world likes to bust a move.
Yet I always get stuck in a groove.
Seems like I always need a hand.
Maybe I should do something grand.

Moving from one project to the next.
Wishing I could just send a text.
It’s now or never they say.
But alas, I just put in on a tray.

Perhaps tomorrow, I’ll make better time.
Maybe I won’t be such a mime.
You live and learn, this much is true.
One day, I won’t be so blue.
