Changing Winds Prevail – Poem – by Roger Hoyt

Changing Winds Prevail

The world around me is narrow and thin.
This is not something, I can easily win.
Chaos and the hectic abound in this wood.
Though I look around and see much good.
People are skeptic and thus they can’t see.
The world around them is already free.
From the lies and turmoil of their lives.
The passion and love, that’s what drives.
For they know the secret, from within.
That the thoughts have always been.
They strive for all they’ve done.
All you can think of is a pun.
Open your eyes, so you can see.
Change always starts within thee.

Change Your Life In 7 Days

Back to Nature

Back to Nature

The world is not dull, for it sets the trend.
Oh, the message it is trying to send.
Storms rage as the Earth shakes the foundation.
Unwary passengers are at the station.
Unknowing of the events to come.
Or from whence they are from.

The stage is set for now.
Soon, the Earth will take a bow.
For even we do not listen.
Now we believe we have risen.

Shall we not walk away.
Live and learn in a new way.
Build the love and live in harmony.
For once, stop thinking about the money.
One day, we’ll wake up and see.
This is truly, what we wanted to be.

The Fallen

The Fallen

Now I see with my own eyes.
Tears of the fallen, are many of cries.
Though sorrow they do feel.
Like the skin, it does peel.
Wine and moan, as they cover their face.
Struggling to climb back grace.
No one sees them, for they are shamed.
Their wild spirits, can not be tamed.

One Love

One Love

A good love is certainly hard to find.
Most however, are really blind.
Only time will tell they say.
Yet some never enter the fray.
Just another story in the book.
Yet, we can’t help but look.
That one to be there for us.
So we don’t have to make a fuss.
A million fish in the sea.
Just one is all I need to see.
